Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya, in Alexander Volkanovski‘s opinion, will face off once more in the future.
Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have engaged in four fights over the course of their rivalry. Kickboxing was used for the first two meetings, and mixed martial arts for the third. As Pereira jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, ‘Poatan’ was knocked out earlier this year by Adesanya, who later won back the UFC middleweight title.
Pereira’s next match is anticipated to be his first at light heavyweight for the time being. Later this year, Adesanya will defend his title against the victor of Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus du Plessis.
Alexander Volkanovski believes that the UFC will eventually match Adesanya and Pereira in an MMA trilogy fight.
“I believe it will occur. Volkanovski added, “I just don’t think it’s going to happen right immediately.
Obviously, having three straight fights isn’t always a good idea, he continued. Although it has happened previously, you don’t really want them to act that way, so if Pereira wants to advance, let’s say by winning the light heavyweight title, they should agree before they engage in a champion-champ style of combat. Of course, there may be a huge battle. I’m not sure if the UFC intends to proceed in that manner. That would be pretty creative, in my opinion.
It’s possible that not everyone wants to see these two rerun the race. Having said that, it is inevitable that it would cause fireworks, as it always does.
