Vivian Polanía Face Suspension For Appearing on Zoom Call half-Naked, Smoking in Bed

Vivian Polanía, A Colombian judge who was suspended for three months after showing up in a virtual Zoom meeting half-naked and smoking in bed is been known to post explicit images on her Instagram profile.
Vivian Polanía, a 34-year-old judge, is seen kicking back in bed and smoking a cigarette in a 33-second clip going viral on social media. Local media stated that Polana promptly switches off her camera when a prosecutor alerts her that it is on during a particular part of the hearing.
The main topic of discussion during the fictitious court session was whether or not to grant bail to a man accused of carrying out a 2021 car bombing.
Vivian Polanía‘s alleged improper behavior was reported to Colombia’s National Commission of Judicial Ethics by one of the call’s solicitors.
According to a written decision from the commission, Polanía’s ban will last until February 2023, according to the Spanish-language news source Infobae.
The committee stated that it had a responsibility to refrain from duplicating the judge’s disrespect for the investiture of her office and the disrespect she displayed toward her colleagues in the public prosecutor’s office, the prosecution, and the defense.
“We find no excuse for the judge to have presented herself in such appalling conditions when she had the facilities of her own home and all the amenities necessary to prepare for a public hearing appropriately and with the respect such a hearing deserved,” the committee stated.
Vivian Polanía has been contacted by Fox News Digital for comment.
According to the Spanish-language publication El Pais, Polanía responded to the incident by telling a local radio station that she was having an anxiety attack and was lying in bed during the hearing.
She further claimed that in the past, disciplinary action had been threatened against her due to her behavior online.
“You never know when an anxiety episode may strike. She allegedly stated, “I always wear my gown,” adding that she “had low blood pressure.”
