UK, U.S., others Nation Offer Solidarity with President Tinubu

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, a number of nations formally handed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu greeting cards and letters of support and solidarity.
The letters were given to the president by the special envoys and heads of missions of each nation after his inauguration as the 16th President of Nigeria, according to a statement by Tunde Rahman, Office of the President, on Monday.
United Kingdom, United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Israel, Cape Verde, Somalia, and Nicaragua are a few of the nations on the list.
Richard Montgomery, the new UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, gave letters from Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, King Charles, and Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, to Mr. Tinubu while congratulating him.
President Tinubu had a courtesy visit by the American delegation, which was led by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge. They had a brief bilateral conversation.
Mr. Rahman added that Mr. Tinubu and the South Korean group had private conversations.
The mission also aimed to improve ties between the two nations while giving Mr. Tinubu a letter from South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol inviting him to come shortly.
Fumio Kishida, the special representative of the Japanese Prime Minister, visited President Tinubu, according to Mr. Rahman, and extended a hand of support and friendship.
In a similar spirit, he said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a delegation to meet with Tinubu and expressed a desire to collaborate with Nigeria in the fintech sector.
He continued, “Delegations from Brazil, Somalia, Cape Verde, and Nicaragua met with President Tinubu and committed collaboration with Nigeria.
