The Face Of Afrobeats Is Wizkid – Akon Asserted
Wizkid is arguably the face of the Afrobeats genre, according to Senegalese-American artist Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, and the fans are responding to that assertion.
When asked recently who he believes is the face of the movement, Konvict Muzik creator and business entrepreneur Akon named Wizkid in an interview with well-known American media personality Sway Calloway on his program “Sway Universe.” He stated:
Wizkid is most likely the face of Afrobeats music. When we first saw him, we expected that he would be that way.
