Tems and Burna Boy to Grace the MetGala
It comes as no surprise that a significant event like the MetGala has integrated itself into the larger cultural scene given how central music has become to popular culture.
The MetGala has brought together the biggest names in music, fashion, and entertainment since it began in 1971. An elite guest list and ticket prices up to $30,000 are featured at this yearly fundraising event in New York City.
The first Nigerian music singers to visit the MetGala will make history on May 1st, 2023. Burna Boy and Tems, two highly regarded Afrobeat superstars, will be invited as guests. None other than Tiwa Savage, a well-known vocalist and entertainer, is the bandleader for these two.
