Sadio Mane, a forward for Bayern Munich, resumed training on Tuesday as he continued to heal from the leg injury that kept him out of the World Cup.

Mane emerged on the snow-covered training field at Munich’s Saebener Strasse in a video that was posted on the team’s Twitter page, saying to the cameras, “Hey, it’s a fantastic feeling, after a long break, to be back.”

Mane, 30, suffered a right leg injury during Bayern’s 6-1 victory against Werder Bremen at home on November 8 and underwent surgery, missing Senegal’s World Cup run.

Sadio Mane, who transferred from Liverpool to Bayern last summer, may be eligible to return for the second leg of Bayern’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain on March 8. This was said by Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann in early January.

Nagelsmann told the media that there is just a “little chance” that he will play the first leg, adding that “if everything goes extremely well, he may be able to play again against Paris.”

Mane won’t play for Bayern in their home match against Cologne.
