Sadio Mane Agrees To Join Bayern Munich on Personal Terms

According to reports, Sadio Mane has signed personal terms on a three-year contract with Bayern Munich ahead of a potential departure from Liverpool.
Two proposals for the Senegalese forward have been rejected by the German champions.
However, sports journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Twitter that Liverpool is aware of his wish to join Bayern Munich, and that the trade has reached the ‘final stages’ and is now’really close.’
Mane, like fellow Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah, has a year left on his contract, putting pressure on the Reds to trade him this summer to prevent losing him for nothing next year.
Bayern Munich are hoping to sign him for a bargain price, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are adamant that he will not be sold for less than his true worth, and have set a £42 million price tag on his head.
Bayern Munich is reportedly hoping for a third time lucky with a £34.6 million proposal, according to German magazine Bild. Bayern hope that their current offer, despite coming £7.4 million shy of Liverpool’s valuation, would persuade the Reds to sell.
The Bavarian club would pay £30.3 million up front, with £4.3 million in add-ons.
If both clubs agree on a price, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will not stand in the way of Mane’s transfer.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has focused his efforts on luring Mane to the Allianz Arena after signing midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax on Monday.
He hopes to complete a deal with Liverpool soon after receiving authorisation from Bayern’s board to make another approach for Mane.
Bjorn Bezemer, Mane’s agent, met with Salihamidzic in early May to negotiate a move, according to Bild.
Liverpool and Bayern enjoy an excellent relationship, which was bolstered in September 2020 when the former acquired Thiago Alcantara for £25 million from the latter.
