Rihanna Reveals her Child’s Name as RZA
One year after her son’s birth, pop singer Rihanna’s child’s name was announced, setting social media into turmoil.
On May 13, 2022, the singer, 35, and her partner A$AP Rocky, 34, had their first child.
The boy’s name is RZA Athelston Mayers, according to the birth certificate that The Daily Mail has access to. The 53-year-old rapper and producer RZA, who is the leader of the legendary hip-hop crew the Wu-Tang Clan, which also includes the late Ol’ Dirty B**tard and GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa, is thought to be the inspiration for the baby’s name.
Since giving birth, the multiple Grammy Award-winning singer has also been seen sporting apparel from the Wu-Tang Clan, hinting at the claims.
RZA is thought to have received the middle name Athelston from his father when he was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was assumed to be named Noah before his real identity was discovered.
Since then, fans have used various social media channels to express their opinions about this discovery.
One supporter wrote on Twitter, “Not Rihanna naming that baby after a Wu-Tang Clan, I can see why she tried to keep it secret.”
“Now I know d**n well Rihanna ain’t name that baby that,” another user tweeted.
“I know Rihanna gave that terrible moniker to A$AP. She is truly in love, another person said.”
