Rapper Ice Prince is remanded in Ikoyi prison according to court order

Nigeria Hip-hop recording artist Ice Prince Zamani has been ordered to be detained in the Ikoyi Correctional Center by a magistrate court in Lagos’ Ajah neighborhood.
After being stopped for driving without a license plate earlier on friday morning, The rapper Ice Prince allegedly assaulted a cop and threatened to toss him in the river.
The musician was charged by the Lagos State Police Command with three counts, including assault, preventing a police officer from doing his official duties, and kidnapping.
He entered a not guilty plea after having the counts read to him.
Ice Prince was subsequently granted bail by Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi in the amount of N500,000 and was ordered to produce two trustworthy sureties for the court. He will remain in custody there until his bail requirement is satisfied, the magistrate ruled. He then put the case’s remaining proceedings on hold until September 7.
