Ice Prince Zamani, a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist who was incarcerated after being accused for kidnapping and assaulting a police officer, has been granted bail.

Ice Prince was reportedly released from the Nigerian detention facility in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Thursday, according to his lawyer, Folarin Dalmeida.

Folarin Dalmeida declared, “His bail requirements have been satisfied, and he was released on Thursday”.

Ajah Magistrate Court 1’s Magistrate T.F. Oyeniyi imposed the rapper’s bail terms at N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount.

Due to the unavailability of the prosecution witnesses, his trial was suspended on Wednesday.

Ice Prince’s attorney, Dalmeida, remained silent throughout the proceedings at the court’s most recent session and did not mention that the prosecution was not there.

We previously report that the Rapper Ice Prince was detained last Friday, as the Lagos police spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin revealed on his official Twitter account. He was accused of assaulting a police officer.

According to Hundeyin, the former member of Chocolate City was pulled over by the police for driving without license plates, and after consenting to go to the station, he allegedly kidnapped the officer.
