PSG Achraf Hakimi Convicted with Rape in France
Achraf Hakimi, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Morocco, has been accused with raping an anonymous lady, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office revealed to ESPN on Friday.
The news broke last week, confirming that a 23-year-old anonymous woman had reported the football star’s rape to French authorities.
Despite the fact that the woman decided not to file a complaint against Hakimi, it was reported that a preliminary inquiry was started last week. But, because of the substantial evidence provided by the claimed victim, the prosecutor’s office chose to launch an inquiry.
The former Real Madrid footballer is currently being closely watched by the authorities and is not permitted to contact the victim in any way.
Achraf Hakimi has not yet responded to the most recent events, but his attorney, Fanni Colin, stated that he is prepared to demonstrate his client’s innocence and that he will completely assist the inquiry.
Also, PSG has not yet issued a statement. But, ESPN stated that the 24-year-old was a candidate to play against Nantes in their upcoming league match against them on Saturday.
