Promoter Sues Young Thug for $150K Over Cancelled Show Because Rapper Was in Jail

Run my cash for me! Young Thug is now detained in the Fulton County jail on RICO-related charges, but that isn’t his only legal problem. A promoter, according to Hot New Hip Hop, is suing the rapper for failing to return $150K. According to reports, Thugger signed a deal with A-1 Concert Entertainment in January for a $300K 45-minute concert.
As agreed upon, Thugger received $150K up front, and after his performance was complete, he was to get the remaining portion of his payment. The promoters now demand a refund because Thugger was unable to fulfill his half of the contract while he was incarcerated. Since Thugger broke his contract, he is being sued. The promoter allegedly got in touch with YSL Touring, but regrettably they never gave back the $150K.
Young Thug can be charged with yet another offense as fresh legal troubles keep cropping up. In the ongoing criminal case against Thugger and the 27 other alleged gang members, the Fulton County district attorney claims gang sympathizers are threatening a witness and their family, according to WSBTV. A document from a cooperating witness’ statement that was circulating on social media was found by district attorney Fani Willis. The witness says that his life and the lives of his children are in danger. Authorities are looking into who leaked the paper, according to Fani Willis.
Brian Steel, the lawyer for Young Thug, has commented on the situation and concurred that the material endangers people and taints the jury pool. Brian claims he wants an instant end to it. “Whoever is posting new discoveries online is not helping anyone. To have this trial take place on social media is completely wrong. The Fulton County Superior Court will conduct a fair and just trial in this case, Brian added.
