Over 1,000 lawyers are being called to the bar by Body of Benchers

On Wednesday, over a thousands of new lawyers were admitted to the bar during the 2022 Call to Bar ceremony.
At the ceremony held by the Body of Benchers, 1,507 graduates of the Nigerian Law School donned the wig and robe to become new attorneys.
The remaining six lawyers are from the previous call, while 1,501 of them are recent grads.
Following the Bar final exams in May, they graduated.
The Nigerian Law School’s multipurpose hall in Bwari, Abuja, hosted the event, which was attended by a number of legal industry experts.
They include Professor Isa Chiroma, Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, and former Justice of the Supreme Court Mary Odili, as well as Chairman of the Body of Benchers (BOB), Wole Olanipekun.
