No regrets, I have no degree, yet pay salaries of 100 people – Davido’s manager Asika
Asa Asika, Davido’s manager, recently disclosed that despite not having a degree, he pays the salaries of over a hundred employees each month.
This information was provided in a recent interview with social media influencer Smartmoneyarese by the 32-year-old artist manager.
Asika didn’t complete his university education.
People usually feel as though you have to go a certain way to achieve a certain objective, but everyone’s tale is distinct and everyone’s road is different, he said.
“One of my companies pays the salaries of 45 workers each month, and that’s just one of the businesses I manage. If I do the arithmetic, I probably pay 100 people’s salaries each month even though I have no formal education, he continued.
Asa Asika claimed that he has no regrets because the majority of his close friends, who all possess Ph.D.s, make “peanuts.”
Without meaning to sound arrogant or condescending, he remarked, “I have friends who went to school and now have PhDs and they are working a 9 to 5 and making peanuts.”
Although the two had a falling out in 2013 and reconciled in 2017, Asika has been Davido’s manager since 2012. The singer of “Dami Duro” is currently estimated to be worth 27 million dollars and has been under Asika’s management since 2017.
Asa Asika launched The Plug Entertainment, a management company that has been operational since 2016, in addition to managing Davido. He had collaborated with several different musicians, including Ikechukwu, ELDee, Sasha P, D’banj, and Naeto C.
At the 2019 The Beatz Awards, he got the award for Artiste Manager of the Year.
