Nigeria’s Kemi Badenoch appointed to Truss new cabinet by Incoming UK Prime Minister

British-Nigerian politician Kemi Badenoch has been selected by UK Prime Minister Liz Truss to her newly reorganized Cabinet.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, Kemi was named as the new Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade on Tuesday.
The following is the appointment, which was announced in a tweet on Tuesday from the UK Prime Minister’s verified Twitter account, @10DowningStreet:
“Kemi Badenoch MP @KemiBadenoch has been appointed Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade @TradeGovUK.”

Kemi acknowledged the appointment and shared her excitement about it on her verified Twitter account.
The leading figure in the Conservative Party expressed her excitement at the prospect of fully utilizing Britain’s potential to increase opportunities and employment.

Prior to this, Kemi Badenoch held the positions of Minister of State for Equalities and Minister of State for Local Government, Faith, and Communities.
