Nigeria Eagles Rank 6th Position In Africa FIFA Ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles slumped five spots in the latest FIFA rankings on Thursday, moving from 35 to 40.

According to the global football governing body’s official website, the Eagles have also declined in Africa, where they are now ranked sixth.

Guinea-Bissau improved to 113 from 118 after defeating Nigeria on game day three of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in Abuja.

Morocco’s Atlas Lions, who were the initial African country to attain the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar 2022, preserved their placement as the continent’s number one team and 11th in the world.

Senegal’s undisputed African champions, the Teranga Lions, have risen to 18th in the universe and second in Africa, while Tunisia has risen to 28th in the world and third in Africa.

Argentina returned to the top of the FIFA rankings for the very first time in over six years.

Argentina surpassed Brazil at the top of the table after friendly victories over Panama and Curaçao, while their old rivals were defeated by Morocco.
