Manchester United defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Tuesday night at Old Trafford to start the Premier League campaign on a winning note.
Following a difficult start to the season, the Red Devils dominated the game to demonstrate additional evidence of their comeback.
In the 19th minute, Marcus Rashford scored the game’s first goal. Three minutes later, he doubled the advantage to give United the advantage.
A late third goal from substitute Fred gave the hosts, who are currently in fifth position, a well-earned victory.
Erik ten Hag’s team has only lost once in eight league games since falling short by a score of 6-3 in the Manchester derby.
With the victory over Nottingham Forest, Man United closed the gap to the top four teams to just one point and now have a game in hand over Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place.
