King Charles III Will Host South African Ramaphosa In First State Visit As Monarch

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, will spend three days in the UK as a guest of King Charles III.
The Royal Family announced the dates of the visit in a statement on its official Twitter account on November 22, 2024.
During King Charles III’s reign, it will be the first state visit by the head of a Commonwealth member.
According to a Monday statement from Buckingham Palace, Ramaphosa has accepted the invitation for a state visit from November 22–24. The president of South Africa will travel with his wife, Dr. Tshepo Motsepe.
“President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has accepted an invitation from The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 22nd to 24th November 2022.
“Further details will be released in due course,” the statement tweeted by the Royal Family.

Charles has made multiple trips to South Africa, including one to attend Nelson Mandela’s death in 2013.
Princes William and Harry have also made several trips to South Africa.
