King Charles III Officially Crowned in the UK

On Saturday, Charles III took power as the ruler of the United Kingdom and 14 Commonwealth states.
Charles, 74, did succeed his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and was crowned in Westminster Abbey in London as the oldest British monarch to date.
In the largest royal event to take place in the nation in the past 70 years, he was crowned in front of the British royal family, more than 4,000 British and Commonwealth military, and 100 foreign dignitaries, including Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and his American counterpart Joe Biden.
The event was watched by millions of viewers on television all across the world.
The solid-gold St. Edward’s Crown, a revered and historic representation of the monarch’s power, was put on Charles’s head by the event’s chief officiant, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
Additionally, he crowned Camilla, the 75-year-old wife of King Charles III.
