Following the untimely passing of photojournalist Khalid al-Misslam on Saturday, another tragedy has befallen the media community covering the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

A local media outlet in the nation said that Al-Misslam, a journalist with Qatar’s Al Kass TV, collapsed unexpectedly on Saturday while reporting games.

According to reports, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The Gulf Times reported that Al-Misslam, a Qatari, passed away unexpectedly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Al-Misslam passed away just a few days after a well-known American journalist who was covering the World Cup in Qatar passed away.

Grant Wahl passed away on Friday while reporting the quarterfinal match between Argentina and the Netherlands for the American media company CBS Sports.

Uber took him from the Lusail Iconic Stadium to the hospital, where it was determined that he had passed away.

The 49-year-old had bronchitis, according to TMZ, but his organization stated that a heart attack was the reason of his death.
