Julen Lopetegui Join Wolves As New Manager

More than a month after firing former manager Bruno Lage, Premier League team Wolverhampton Wanderers has announced the appointment of former Real Madrid head coach Julen Lopetegui as the new manager.
The club released a statement on Saturday afternoon, saying, “We are thrilled to announce Julen Lopetegui will take control as our new head coach on Monday, November 14th.”
The 56-year-old initially declined an approach last month, but following further rounds of negotiations to close the sale, he changed his mind.
In addition to the Spain national teams, Rayo Vallecano, Porto, Real Madrid, and Sevilla, where he won the 2020 UEFA Europa League, Lopetegui has led a number of top teams in Europe.
On November 14, he is anticipated to resume his responsibilities as first team coach while his work visa and other required documentation are being completed.
Boxing Day’s Premier League match against Everton is anticipated to be Lopetegui’s debut game in charge of the Wolves.
