Nigria India relations

The Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Muraleedharan, has given advice on the necessity of enhancing commerce and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and his nation.

He said that in order to improve the bilateral ties between the two nations, cultural exchange programs between Nigerians and Indians must be stepped up.

On Thursday in Abuja, Mr. Shri Muraleedharan paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

In Nigeria, he also got to know people from the Overseas Friends of Bhartiya Janta Party (OFBJP). He counseled Indians in Nigeria to coexist peacefully and with compassion.

This was revealed in a statement released on Friday by OFBJP National President Sanjay Srivastava.

According to Mr. Muraleedharan, Nigerian Indians must uphold the love and peaceful coexistence advocated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He claimed that this will lead to development and progress in Nigeria.

A non-governmental organization (NGO) called the Overseas Friends of Bhartiya Janta Party was founded in January 2014.

The 10,000-member NGO works to improve interpersonal and intercultural relationships between Nigerians and Indians.

It also tries to improve social links among Indians living abroad.

The organization was established in order to present a positive image of India and its citizens to Nigerians.

By giving them the appropriate assistance and connections when needed, it is also intended to aid indigent Indians in Nigeria.
