Odion Ighalo

In the second leg of the Asian Champions League final on Saturday, Al Hilal lost 1-0 to the Japanese team Urawa Reds Diamonds. Odion Ighalo was a member of the Al Hilal team.

Ighalo participated for 90 minutes, but he could not lead his group to a fifth continental title.

Urawa Reds were crowned the competition’s victors for the third time in its existence.

The first leg was tied 1-1 in Saudi Arabia, giving the Japanese a 2-1 victory overall.

Andre Carrillo’s own goal against Al Hilal helped the Urawa Reds win the Asian Champions League for the first time since 2017.

Al Hilal (49 points), which are now 10 points trailing league leaders Al Ittihad, are in fourth place in Saudi Arabia.
