I Don’t Need Social Media Anymore – Tinubu

Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the forthcoming 2023 presidential election, claims he no longer follows popular topics on social media as a result of the nasty and abusive responses he receives from Nigerians.

According to a video of Mr. Tinubu speaking to a crowd, the APC candidate stated he had to stop speaking after developing high blood pressure from keeping up with happenings that concern him on social media.

“I don’t need social media anymore. They abused the hell out of me. If I read it, I will have high blood pressure and I get angry so I don’t read it. If I want to hear anything, my children or any of my workers will inform me about what people are saying,” he stated.

Mr. Tinubu claimed that he now relies on his children and employees to keep him informed about current events.

Following his presidential campaign, the former Lagos governor has received harsh criticism from a variety of public groups, particularly on social media.

Mr. Tinubu, who is embroiled in multiple controversies, has been accused of lying about his age and has also had his academic credentials and employment background questioned.

Since leaving office as governor of Lagos, Mr. Tinubu has been criticized for his role in narcotics trafficking in Chicago, Illinois, in the early 1990s.

Following Mr. Tinubu’s run-in with American law enforcement over accusations of drug trafficking and money laundering, he turned over the proceeds of the crime to the American government.

Although he has since maintained his innocence and rejected all accusations of impropriety, Mr. Tinubu has once again been under heavy public criticism for the newly published additional records by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
