Hilda Baci Wraps-up 100-hour Guinness World Cooking Record

The longest cooking hours had been broken by Hilda Bassey Effiong, better known as Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef.
Hilda earlier broke the former record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
To surpass the previous record, Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.
However, on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 8 o’clock, Hilda Baci broke the previous record.
She spent 100 hours in the kitchen, breaking the previous record for the most time spent cooking by one person.
On Friday, Baci began her culinary marathon challenge in Lekki, Lagos State’s Amore Gardens.
Celebrities, preachers, and other well-meaning Nigerians also showed up to support the celebrity chef in the competition, both online and in person.
Before the chef’s name is formally added to the renowned book, which also includes a number of Nigerians with accomplishments in other categories, the Guinness World Records management will examine the chef’s extraordinary achievement.
