German Court label Islamic Center, Blue Mosque an Extremist Organizations

The acts of the (Blaue Moschee) Blue Mosque, an Islamic center in Hamburg, have been determined to be those of a “extremist Islamic organization,” according to the Federal Administrative Court of Germany.
The activities of the center were classified as “Islamic extremism” on Friday by the Administrative Court of Hamburg, according to a report from Voice of America on Sunday.
The report claims that the choice was made in response to the Islamic center’s protest and complaint against a choice made by the German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
In 2018 and 2019, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution designated the Blue Mosque‘s activities as “extremist Islamist organizations.”
Following two oral hearings held in April and May of this year, the court issued a written ruling regarding the complaint made by the Islamic center.
The court’s ruling, which acknowledges a partial acceptance of the plaintiffs’ lawsuit, forbade the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution from publishing portions of the report’s contents.
