AC Milan Franck Kessie, has signed deal with Barcelona
Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie was signed by Barcelona from Italian champions AC Milan on a free transfer on Monday.
Barcelona said in a statement that the player would sign a deal through June 30, 2026, with a buy-out clause of 500 million euros ($523 million).
Kessie, 25, initially arrived in Italy in 2015 when he joined Atalanta. He has spent the last five years in Milan.
In 39 appearances for Milan past season, he scored seven goals, helping the team win the Serie A championship for the first time since 2011.
The Ivorian will be introduced by the team on Wednesday, while Andreas Christensen of Denmark, a defender who just left Chelsea, is also anticipated to be introduced as a Barcelona player this week.
