Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg will face off in a “cage match”
Elon Musk, the millionaire CEO of Tesla, and Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, appeared to provoke one another into consenting to a fight in the most recent development in a protracted dispute.
The idea of a “cage match” between the two billionaires is causing a stir on respective platforms.
In response to tweets about a prospective competing service by Meta, run by Mr. Zuckerberg, Mr. Musk, who routinely posts jokes and provocations, said this week, “I’m up for a cage match if he is.” These occurred on June 21.
Mr. Zuckerberg quickly responded on Instagram by posting a screenshot of Mr. Musk’s tweet with the phrase “Send Me Location.”
However, a Meta spokesman claimed that Mr. Zuckerberg’s reply “speaks for itself.”
Mr. Zuckerberg declared last summer that he had started practicing “Brazilian jiu-jitsu.”
Since then, he has written a number of times about his training, along with photos of himself with notable fighters like Dave Camarillo and Mikey Musumeci.
In May, Mr. Zuckerberg took part in his first Brazilian jujitsu competition in Woodside, California, where he won two medals and defeated an Uber engineer.
Mr. Musk suggested holding the bout in a Las Vegas venue.
