Eden Hazard Reveals Regressing Relationship With Carlo Ancelotti

Eden Hazard

The Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, and Belgian footballer Eden Hazard do not get along, according to Hazard, who hasn’t played for Los Blancos in more than two months.

Since joining the Spanish team, Hazard has struggled mightily, appearing in just 73 La Liga games while contributing 11 assists and seven goals.

The 2021–2022 UEFA Champions League victor opened up to RTBF about his troubles with the team and his future ambitions.

“We respect one another,” The 32-year-old continued, “But I’m not going to pretend that we chat to each other because we don’t talk to each other.

But respect will always exist. Even if he stops forcing me to play tomorrow.

The winger committed to Madrid until 30 June 2024 on a deal worth £400,000 per week for a reported sum of €100 million, with the potential to increase to €146.1 million due to extra fees.

After Gareth Bale, who cost €101 million to acquire in 2013, Hazard became the most expensive player to play for Real Madrid.

The former Chelsea player claims he wants to stay at the Bernabeu even if it means he is on the outside looking in. This is despite their relationship appearing to be worsening with the Italian.

Hazard remarked, “I miss it, I want to play, I want to have joy on the pitch.

“I sincerely hope that I can contribute and that the coach is still depending on me.

“I’ve always said that I’d prefer to stay.

“I want to play and prove that I’m still capable of doing it. Doubts are common, and I can understand that.

“Yet I’ll still be here the following year. A transfer is not in my plan, but you never know,” he continued.

When Belgium competed in FIFA World Cup Qualification, Hazard was chosen. He assisted once in a 5-2 victory over Estonia and scored in a 3-0 triumph over the Czech Republic. Later, Roberto Martinez, the manager of Belgium, congratulated him.

Hazard, who is 31 years old, announced his retirement from the national team after Belgium was eliminated in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
