Cuba Partner With CBAAC Toward FESTAC “77 45th Anniversary

For the 45th anniversary celebration of FESTAC “77, the Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara Pulido-Escandell, has collaborated with the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC).
When the CBAAC team visited the embassy for a lobbying visit, Ms. Pulido-Escandell reportedly said this. Oluwabunmi Amao, the director-general of CBAAC, paraphrased her in a statement.
The organizer, CBAAC, plans to celebrate the 45th anniversary of FESTAC “77 from December 5 to December 11 in Abuja.
According to Ms. Pulido-Escandell, the Cuban government would help the CBAAC event succeed through its mission in Nigeria.
The diplomat, who reflected on the successes of FESTAC “77, emphasized the many parallels between Cuban and Nigerian cultures, particularly in terms of food, drumming, and dress.
According to Ms. Pulido-Escandell, “FESTAC ’77 is equally our own, and we are duty bound to not just participate in but to support this celebration.”
