Cops Arrest 6 Burglars in connection to Ronaldo’s Raided House
Six persons have been detained in relation to the three million euro burglary at the home of former Brazil star Ronaldo Luiz Nazrio, according to sources close to the inquiry, AFP learned on Thursday.
Marco Verratti, a member of Paris Saint-Germain, was staying at Ronaldo’s villa in Ibiza on Monday, but he wasn’t there when thieves broke in and stole jewelry and cash.
These sources told AFP without providing any other information that two persons were detained in the port of Denia in eastern Spain and four others were being held in Malaga in the south.
According to the Spanish press, a burglary-focused organized gang was comprised of six people who were detained, four of whom were Albanian. The other two were a Spaniard and a Romanian.
According to press sources, the Spanish police allegedly retrieved a substantial portion of the plunder, which is said to be worth about three million euros.
