Tobi Amusan WIns CAA 2022 Female Africa Athlete

After a record-breaking 11-month season, Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan was awarded the 2022 Africa Female Athlete of the Year by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).

In 2022, Amusan won the 100-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, United States, setting a new world record of 12.12 seconds.

While Eliud Kipchoge, a Kenyan long-distance runner who won gold at the 2022 Berlin Marathon, ranked second on the continent, Emmanuel Korir, a Kenyan middle-distance runner who won gold at the World Athletics Championships and Diamond League, ranked third.

Letsile Tebogo of Botswana is the top male prospect in Africa, while Faith Cherotich of Kenya tops the list for females.
