Burna Boy, Tems, Rema To Perform At NBA All-Star Weekend

The NBA has announced that three Nigerian celebrities, Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema, will perform in the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show, which will have an Afrobeats theme.

The NBA made this announcement in a post on its social media pages on Wednesday.

Tems and Burna Boy have both received Grammy Awards, and Rema has also received honors in other categories.

After the game, the NBA announced that it would honor LeBron James for surpassing Michael Jordan as the league’s all-time leading scorer.

The 72nd NBA All-Star Game, which will be broadcast on TNT, will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena.

Following the first-ever in-arena NBA All-Hero Draft (7:30 p.m. ET), international superstar Post Malone will sing a medley of songs prior to tip-off, and Vin Diesel, the star of the new “Fast X” film, will greet spectators.

On Sunday for the NBA All-Star Game, the Canadian national anthem will be performed by platinum-selling musician Jully Black while the American national anthem will be performed by Payson, Utah native and Grammy Award nominee Jewel.
