Authorities claim Britney Spears‘ ex-husband was detained while crashing her wedding in southern California.

Officers responded to a trespassing incident about 2 p.m. on Thursday, according to Captain Cameron Henderson of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Jason Alexander, the pop singer’s first husband, was arrested at the ceremony, according to him.

According to Henderson, Alexander was apprehended after investigators discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest in another county.

Alexander streamed a live video from his Instagram account as he approached the event security earlier on Thursday. He assured them again that Spears had invited him as he walked around what seemed to be a mostly vacant but adorned mansion and gardens.

“She’s my first and only wife,” Alexander stated, referring to his 2004 marriage to Spears, a childhood acquaintance. Their union only lasted 55 hours.

He stated in the video, “I’m her first spouse.” “I’ve come to sabotage the wedding.”

According to Variety, authorities are still examining what happened and will decide whether Alexander will face additional charges related to the trespassing allegation.

Spears was previously married to dancer Kevin Federline for two years, with whom she had two boys, ages 14 and 15.

Britney Spears and her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, were set to marry on Thursday, according to reports. In 2016, the couple met on the set of a music video. They announced their engagement in September of last year, only a few months after Spears won a legal struggle with her family and was released from a 13-year conservatorship in November.

Spears’ representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
