British PM Rishi Sunak Attends COP27 For The First Time Abroad

The world needs to “deliver on the legacy” of Glasgow’s COP26 Climate Summit, according to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
During the start of a busy day at the most recent UN negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, Mr. Sunak tweeted.
He announced, “Today, I will join leaders from across the world@COP27P,” “For our children and grandchildren, we must deliver on the legacy of Glasgow and protect the future of the planet.”

At the climate meeting, the prime minister also spoke with Ursula von der Leyen, president of the EU Commission.
The one-on-one encounter takes place in the midst of continuing hostilities with the EU over carrying out the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The two presidents’ discussions are anticipated to cover the climate change issue as well as the conflict in the Ukraine and the energy problem.
At the beginning of the encounter, the couple grinned and acknowledged the journalists.
Since taking office a fortnight ago, this is the new prime minister’s first appearance on a global stage.
