At the National Film Awards, Kunle Afolayan “Citation” wins Best International Film

The award-winning 2020 movie “Citation” by Kunle Afolayan has once again taken home a victory, this time in the United Kingdom’s National Film Awards‘ “Best International Film” category.
He celebrated the victory in a post on his Instagram page, stating, “I am delighted we got recognized without even lobbying.”
He expressed his delight when Temi Otedola and Jimmy Jean Louis, the movie’s leading actors, accepted the honor. Jude Law, who won Best Actor for “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” and Lily Collins, who won Best Actress in a TV Series for “Emily in Paris,” were among the other winners in the 27 categories.
The film, which is loosely based on real events, depicts the tale of a student who accuses her lecturer of sexual assault after she was subjected to it.
