Amazon has purchased one of Jim Iyke’s movie “Bad Comments.”

Jim Iyke, a prominent Nigerian award-winning actor and executive producer, has had his latest film “Bad Comments” acquired by Amazon.
Amazon’s unusual acquisition would make the social impact-focused film, which examines the ramifications of cyberbullying, the most expensive contract ever made in the African film business.
The film has also been selected for the 17th Harlem International Film Festival (The People’s Film Festival), which will take place from May 5th to 15th, 2022. The Harlem Festival is an annual film festival that takes place in Harlem, New York, and honors films from all over the world.
Despite the fact that Bad Comments was not nominated for an AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards) due to a two-hour film embargo, the film continues to make waves in Nigeria and beyond.
The critically acclaimed movie featuring Jim Iyke, Ayo Makun, Osas Ighodaro, Yemi Blaq, Sharon Ooja, Chiwetel Agu, Patience Ozokwor, Ruggedman, Ini Edo, Timaya, and others was released in August 2021.
Last week, the novelist and serial entrepreneur organized an Amazon release watch party with his followers, visitors, and members of the Nollywood business to commemorate the incredible achievement on the deal with the online retailing giant.
