On Thursday, 126 more Nigerian students who had been studying in Sudan came home.

On board a Tarco Aviation plane, the returnees touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 12:25 p.m.

They were welcomed by representatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

Officers from the Nigeria Police Force, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the military were among those at the airport.

Since last week, the Federal Government has evacuated over 2000 Nigerians who were living in Sudan.
